LMEA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
November 13, 2017

President C. Santa Maria called the meeting to order at 4:01 pm.
D. Mandarino made a motion to approve the minutes from October—sec by L. McDevitt -passed.

Annual audit of LMEA was provided by Raible. Cornaglia, Wenstrom, & Raible, LLC-Certified Public Accountants. The auditor provided a copy of a written report which included an independent auditors report-a copy is available for review in the LMEA office. (Contact Chris Santa Maria)

Treasurer: D. Mandarino made a motion to accept the October Treasurer’s Reports—passed. Treasurer recommended transferring money back into the contingency fund.

Health & Safety: NR Reminder to contact A. Avellino or L. Giaquinto with any concerns. Legislation: Governor is planning to run his campaign next year. Keep an open eye for any emails regarding PSSA & contacting your representatives in Harrisburg.

Minority Affairs: NP

PACE: M. Stettner discussed the packet contents of the brown envelope which was distributed. Forms for continuous PACE contributions or individual contributions were discussed. Contributions can also be made online. If electing to pay via Payroll Deductions, please submit your form to LMEA office by Dec.1st (5 pays will be Jan.-Mar 2018). Please contact M. Stettner or D. Grumbine in the LMEA office with any questions.

PR&R: P. Dawson submitted a written report.

Membership: D. Grumbine submitted a written report, which is accurate as of the most recent Board Report. Everyone who is not a member should have received applications for membership in inter-office mail.

Building Reports:
Admin: -Reminder for all members to check your PSERS statement that was just sent. There have been discrepancies in balances & interest rates reported. If you find an error, contact the LMSD Payroll department or PSEA regarding any issues.

Belmont Hills: Fire Drills are required 1 time per month. Questions about number of Lockdown drills required per year.

Bala Cynwyd: Prof: A level of frustration was conveyed concerning the contract not being settled. People are having to cover due to extreme lack of substitutes.

Welsh Valley: Prof: Concerns about use of learning period. Work Language teachers are being used. Concerns have been raised to Administrators.

Lower Merion: Prof: Large group of IA’s were required to do C{R/First Aid training but were told they are not eligible to use that towards their 20 hr. requirement
