LMEA Office to Relocate

The LMEA has relocated its office to 306 Parsons Ave, Bala Cynwyd, 19004. Our phone numbers remain the same. Please, stop by. An open house is scheduled for late spring.

Tuition Reimbursement

Applications for tuition reimbursement can be made following existing contractual procedures after January 1 for the time period beginning July 1 of the coming fiscal year. Reimbursement will only be available for the approaching fiscal year and new application will be required for subsequent academic years.

PSEA Financial Educational Workshop

The Mideast Region of the PSEA will be hosting a Financial Workshop on Saturday, February 26 at its office in Montgomeryville, PA. Sessions on financial planning, long-term care, credit ratings, cyber-security, pension benefits, and financial challenges for those under age 35 will be conducted. See your building representation for details.

New Teacher Workshop

The Mideast Region of the PSEA will be hosting a New Teacher Workshop for teachers with 1-5 years of teaching on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 from 4:45-6:30PM. A light dinner will be served. Workshop topics will include: tenure, certification, ratings, negotiations, legal rights, PSEA member benefits and more. Call 1-800-492-2727 to register.

LMEA Unit / Officers Meetings

Throughout the year, unit meetings will be held prior to officers meetings at all buildings. March’s meeting will be held Wednesday, March 9 at 3:35 at Belmont Hills. Meetings for other buildings will be announced monthly in the AppleCore and posted in your building. Unit meetings give you the chance to make suggestions and voice concerns with your LMEA officers.

Executive Council meetings are held the second Monday of the month in the LMEA office at 4:00PM.

Officers Meetings are held the Wednesday before Executive Council meetings. Locations and times will be announced.
