LMEA Office to Relocate

The LMEA will be moving its office to 306 Parsons Ave, Bala Cynwyd, 19004 on January 18, 2005. Our phone numbers remain the same. Please, stop by. An open house is scheduled for late spring.

Minutes

Executive Council and General Membership meeting minutes are distributed to members and posted on www.lmeaonline.org shortly after each meeting. Of particular interest are building/unit concerns. Concerns not addressed or actions not taken are investigated. The results of the investigation are reported in the President’s report in the following month’s minutes. If you have a concern regarding discipline, working conditions or the contract, please contact your building rep.

Instruction and Curriculum Council (ICC) and Staff Development Council (SDC) meeting minutes also contain building/unit concerns and are addressed the same as above. They are posted monthly in your building. If you have concerns regarding instruction, curriculum, or staff development, please contact your ICC or SDC rep.

Please take a few minutes each month to read these minutes. It’s important to be informed.

LMEA Unit / Officers Meetings
Throughout the year, unit meetings will be held prior to officers meetings at all buildings. February’s meeting will be held Wednesday, February 9 at 3:05 at Bala Cynwyd. Meetings for other buildings will be announced monthly in the AppleCore and posted in your building. Unit meetings give you the chance to make suggestions and voice concerns with your LMEA officers.

NEA-RA State Representative Elections

You will be soon be receiving ballots to elect state delegates to the NEA Representative Assembly. Please use five of your votes to vote for our region officers Jim Sando, Jerry Oleksiak, Linda Weaver, Donna Milner, and Steve McCarter.

Executive Council meetings are held the second Monday of the month in the LMEA office at 4:00PM except November 15.

Officers Meetings are held the Wednesday before Executive Council meetings. Locations and times will be announced.
