School Referenda
Please continue to contact your state senator and state legislator and tell them you oppose school referenda. Unfortunately, it looks as though it will be law. However, we must continue to voice our objection. Their address, phone number, and email can be found on the back of your PSEA membership card or you may go to www.capwiz.com/psea to have a message automatically forwarded to you senator and legislator. Encourage your family and friends to the same. Don’t underestimate the power numbers have in determining the outcome of proposed legislation.

New Teacher Workshop
The Mideast Region is offering a workshop for teachers with 1-5 years of experience. The workshop will cover certification, ratings, legal issues, member benefits, PSEA structure and more. It will be a good opportunity to meet new teachers from school districts in Bucks and Montgomery counties.

The workshop will be held Tuesday, April 13 at 4:45-6:30PM at the Mideast Region Office in Montgomeryville. A light dinner will be served. Please call 1-800-492-2727 by April 6 to register.

LMEA Unit / Officers Meetings
Throughout the year, unit meetings will be held prior to officer’s meetings at all buildings. April’s meeting will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 2:25 at Harriton and 3:35 at Gladwyne. Meetings for other buildings will be announced monthly in the AppleCore and posted in your building. Unit meetings give you the chance to make suggestions and voice concerns with your LMEA officers.
